Trending audio on Instagram this week

The sounds spreading right now

We are still collecting this week's data.

How we spot a trending sound

A country-level chart tells you a sound is already everywhere. By then the niche has moved on, and so has the feed of the person you want to reach.

What we watch instead is movement: the same sound appearing on several recent Reels from different accounts inside one sector, and how fast that group grows from one day to the next. Three accounts picking up a sound in two days is a wave. Three hundred accounts over two months is a catalogue.

It is not raw popularity, it is not a follower ratio, and it is not the size of the account posting it. We do not publish the formula, for the same reason nobody publishes theirs, but it is the same signal our users see inside their own niche every morning.

Sounds with fewer than three Reels from three different accounts never make this list: below that, it is noise.

How to find trending audio on Instagram

Open a Reel you like, tap the sound name at the bottom and you land on the audio page, where Instagram shows how many Reels use it. That tells you a sound is popular; it does not tell you whether it is still climbing. The useful signal is the same sound showing up on several recent Reels from different accounts inside one niche, which is what this page tracks.

Every morning. The page is rebuilt with the data of the last seven days, and the timestamp under the title is the real build time, not a template.

They describe the age of the Reels using each sound. Rising: most of them are from the last three days. Peak: four to seven days. Fading: the wave is older than a week and the sound is on its way out.

No. A sound spreading across ten accounts in one niche is worth more to you than a sound on ten thousand accounts everywhere, because the second one is already saturated and the audience has heard it. Look at the sector column before the number of accounts.

Not always. Instagram limits parts of the music library for professional accounts, and the audio page will show it as unavailable. Original audio from creators and sounds marked for business use are the safe ones.

This page is the public view across sectors. Your niche is narrower than a sector, and the sounds that matter to you are the ones spreading among the accounts you actually compete with. That is what a scan gives you.
