Trending audio on Instagram, week 38, September 2026
Frozen on September 20, 2026. This page does not change any more.
We are still collecting this week's data.
Trending sounds on Instagram
A sound is worth using while it is still spreading between accounts, not when it is on every feed. These are the ones moving inside the niches we track, with how many accounts picked each one up.
Instagram trending songs
Songs and original audio sit in the same list here: what matters is the spread, not the label. Business accounts cannot use every track, and Instagram marks the ones that are off limits on the audio page itself.
How to find trending audio on Instagram
Open a Reel you like, tap the sound name at the bottom and you land on the audio page, where Instagram shows how many Reels use it. That tells you a sound is popular; it does not tell you whether it is still climbing. The useful signal is the same sound showing up on several recent Reels from different accounts inside one niche, which is what this page tracks.
Every morning. The page is rebuilt with the data of the last seven days, and the timestamp under the title is the real build time, not a template.
They describe the age of the Reels using each sound. Rising: most of them are from the last three days. Peak: four to seven days. Fading: the wave is older than a week and the sound is on its way out.
This page is the public view across sectors. Your niche is narrower than a sector, and the sounds that matter to you are the ones spreading among the accounts you actually compete with. That is what a scan gives you.
